The Northern Town of La Ronge is seeking a brief proposal for the development of a serviced subdivision on an undivided parcel of highway commercial land located along the main Highway 102 corridor. The Town has completed some pre construction planning and engineering, options for sewer services, and there are existing lines for water service options within the lot and natural gas service runs parallel to the lot.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL No. 01-2015
La Ronge is located at the edge of Lac La Ronge Provincial Park and along the shores of Lac La Ronge, approximately 190 km north of Waskesiu Lake and approximately 241 km north of Prince Albert. The community is home to approximately 3,000 residents however the immediate service area, consisting of three additional adjacent communities, has a conservative estimate of 7,000 residents. Being on the main highway and referred to as the “Hub of the North”, the service area draws on approximately 10,000+ people.
Private developers are encouraged to submit a proposal that suits the needs of the community and which would include a tentative plan of the scope of the subdivision, a timeframe for construction completion, and a scope of local improvements that the proponent would complete and any cost sharing requirements with the Town of La Ronge.
